SUMMER FUN & RECREATION COLLECTION

In Honor of National Military Appreciation,
Operation Care Package will be collecting "Fun Stuff",
Recreational items and things to help put a smiles on the faces of our
troops, and also, to give them something to do on the "off" time.

Below is a Sample List and also different ways
you and/or your group can help show support
and appreciation for their service.

Any board games, Monopoly, Aggravation, Yahtzee, Life,
Scrabble, Risk, Trivia Games, Uno, Fill or Bust, Skip Bo,
Hand held games, Sports Equipment, Footballs, Soccer Balls,
Wiffle Balls & bats, Badminton, Hacky sacks
Small Model Kits, Small Craft Kits, Art Supplies,
PS2 or XBox games, Silly String, Small Kites, Comics,
Squirt Guns, DVD's, CD's or musical instruments.
New or gently used Books also needed
Mystery, Fiction, Thriller, Humor, Inspirational
Please no Romance

Other Ways To Show Appreciation

Fly The American Flag (replace old ones)
Send Cards or Notes to "Any Hero" to OCP
Have your ROTC post colors & raise flag at your school
Ask Active or Retired service members to serve as
ushers or greeters during church services
Shake hands with and thank a Veteran, it is never too late
Ask your local Libary to show recognigtion through
displays and reading materials
Invite local Military to come and speak to your
class, group or club about their experiences in the military
Send notes & cards to A Veterans Home or VA Hospital
Schedule a field trip to a Military point of interest
or Museum.
Ask local businesses to offer a discount to Service people
in Honor of Appreciation Month
Recognize Veterans and/or Active duty employees
at your place of business
Continue to pray for our Country and all those who serve it

Remember Patriotism starts at home.
Always have Pride in our Country and for those who serve it.
